Your Website Should Be Secure !
We all know that websites conducting financial transactions must have an SSL Certificate to protect their customers information. But online security goes beyond just shopping cart websites and intensive form based sites, websites which offer a user login experience must have an SSL Certificate as well to prevent user accounts from being hijacked. And even a basic one page informational brochure website should be protected with an SSL Certificate. Without the SSL protection, a hacker could intercept the content being passed from your website to your visitors browser and inject false information and even worst, malicious content.
There is no reason your website is not secure. At Northern Pride, you are protected.
SSL is no longer an option, it has become standard protocol for all new websites and included with all our Hosting packages. ALL new websites we develop are coded to be secure and then launched with a FREE 90 day rolling domain validated certificate. An SSL certificate guarantees privacy and security for all our customers web site visitors. The future of the internet is already taking action to make encryption the norm, and so should you.
What is an SSL Certificate?
SSL is a standard security protocol which establishes encrypted links between a web server and a browser, thereby ensuring that all communication that happens between a web server and browser(s) remains encrypted and hence private. SSL Certificate is today an industry standard that is used by millions of websites worldwide to protect all communication and data that's transmitted online through the websites.
When installed on a web server, it activates the padlock and the https protocol and allows secure connections from a web server to a browser. Once a secure connection is established, all web traffic between the web server and the web browser will be secure. Depending on the type of certificate you purchase and what browser you are surfing the internet on, the browser will show a padlock or green bar in the browser when you visit a website that has an SSL Certificate installed.
